Used to be good. Food and drink prices are extortionate. They always add gratitude to the bill with out asking which is so cheeky especially as the food has gone from 5 stars to 1 star
Cracking pub. Great vibe. Goes through owners a bit, and the current ones recently added a sneaky gratuity to every bill so be sure to check the bill thoroughly.
Very nice old building/pub with exposed timer beams and some low areas towards the garden if you are tall, though they are well padded to absorb a knock on the head!Out the back there is a small covered smoking/seating area and then a large garden which is lovely in the summer months.Fairly extensive menu with some interesting items, not just your basic pub food.Good selection of alcohol including hand drawn real ales.Lovely atmosphere with candles on most tables in the lounge bar.A recommended place to visit for a quick beer or an evening with food and friends.
Great atmosphere in this lovely public house. Situated in the centre of old Havant Town, it gives a taste of days gone by. The bar staff had real character and the ales were good. Pop in and say hello when you get the chance. You will be certain to get a warm welcome.
Stayed overnight at the Bear Hotel, staff recommended this gem of an establishment, everyone we met were so friendly.... And the star of the night was the entertainment, in the form of local artist Archie.... Take a bow son, you made our stay a memorable one!!!!!
