The Bear Hotel is very Clean.Very Friendly and Helpful Staff.The Food is very tasty and well presented on the plate.The Staff are always ready to answer any questions that you may have.
Very noisy. Finding the room was like being in a labyrinth. The floors cracked and were not straight. Felt like I was in a ship that was constantly moving. We could not shower because te water went from butt freezing cold to burning hot. There was no in between. Positive was the tea we could make in the room,the towels were very good and soft and the bed was super comfortable. I had a perfect night of sleep. So 4 stars. And the lady at reception was super kind!*edit* stayed here again this weekend and the water was perfectly working because they installed a new boiler. The food at dinner was amazing and breakfast was more than complete and disco night was the best!!!!
Lovley and helpful staff, clean facilities and the rooms are quiant! The whole place is full of character and links to the past. Only giving 4 stars as some minor features/fixtures could do with updating, this is to match prices asked in comparison to other hotels available in the area for same price range
Spent 2 days at the Bear ,would highly recommend this hotel, the people are very friendly. The breakfast menu is very good We had a twin room that had 3 bed strange but ideal if you have children. Would deffently go again ,well done to all the staff for making our visit enjoyable
We have just returned from a lovely few days away, staying at this great hotel. Our stay has been so relaxing. Our comfortable and clean room was serviced each morning to a great standard and was a pleasure to return to at the end of a busy day. The restaurant, well, just excellent. Great menu and food well cooked. Breakfast buffet was amazing.!! We were even given a more private area that we could bring our dog with us whilst we ate. Very thoughtful of manager towards dog lovers. Staff were all helpful, efficient and lovely. My husband and I will definitely return and wouldn't hesitate reccomending this hotel to anyone.
